Our Patrol Officers devote many hours to providing non-crime related services to the West Lampeter Township community. Frequent non-crime services rendered by our Department are responding to alarm calls for residents and businesses, security checks of residential and business properties, traffic control for special events, stepped-up patrol of targeted trouble spots throughout the community, and assists to emergency medical and fire personnel. Patrol Officers are frequently summoned to handle sensitive requests for service that require use of common sense along with formal police protocol. These types of calls include, but are not limited to, suspicious activity, neighborhood disputes, landlord/tenant issues, non-violent domestic disputes, child custody issues, missing persons, animal complaints, and general information requests. Additionally, our Patrol officers respond to mutual aid requests for assistance from surrounding police departments. The West Lampeter Township Police Department is proud of the effective communication and outstanding working relationship we share with other law enforcement agencies.
Additional services offered to residents, businesses, and civic groups include, but are not limited to, background checks for employment or adoption, oral presentations, station tours, and child safety seat checks by personnel specially trained and certified in their proper installation.
